placeworks welcomes Holly Simon!

Richard, Gregg and the rest of the gang are excited that Holly Simon is joining us for her Co-op term through to December!

Holly has completed her first year at Dalhousie in spectacular fashion and followed it up with time working and touring in Europe this summer.  In part, this was made possible by the University of California Berkeley Travel Scholarship she had competed for and won.

For Holly, it’s a homecoming even if only for a few months.  Before starting at Dal a year ago, she was one of the uber-capable team at CADA (Calgary Arts Development Authority) with her fingers deep into the deep-dish pie that is Calgary’s art scene.

It’s great to have Holly onboard!

Pecha Kucha Round 2 Tonight!

The second Pecha Kucha Evening goes tonight at 7pm at the Uptown Cinema!

Sponsored and moderated by the good folk at CADA, the topic that the presenters will chew on is Living and Working.  And remember, what makes these evenings so interesting is that each presenter is limited to showing and talking about 22 slides for 30 seconds each.
