Judging from the comments of some respected observers of all-things-Calgary such as Zinc’s Brian Singh and MRC’s Nasheed Nenshi, commerce in Calgary appears to be heating up. Although the Gas sector is still hurting, there seems to reason for some smiles and optimism.
We’ve been quite fortunate at placeworks and have been pretty busy despite the less than wonderful environment of the last year. In fact, this week sees our office pretty quiet as everyone heads out for some deserved rest and relaxation.
I’ll be reading about some cool firms in the Pacific NorthWest and will have some good stuff to write about next week.
