Cantos Winner on September 23!

Cantos will be celebrating the announcement of the Winner of the competition to design the National Music Centre on Wednesday September 23 at 7:00pm.
A fantastic finish to what has proven to be a great competition process that seems to be achieving all the foundation’s goals while firing up the public’s imagination.
Andrew Mosker and the gang should be complemented on a job well done.  Let’s all hope the process continues on in the same blessed sort of way.

Cantos and the National Centre for Music

While we were wrapped up at the incredible Calgary Folk Music Festival last week, Andrew Mosker and the great people at Cantos released the 5 concepts for the new National Music Centre at the Eddy to the public.
This competition serves as an exceptional example of how to identify and choose a design team for important public facilities. The five shortlisted teams were each given a significant stipend and enough time to create a preliminary conceptual design to ignite imaginations and assist Cantos in making their decision. So far, so good.
